Good Is The Enemy of Great!

I want to share a thought with you, one that changed my life and has the ability to change yours: Good is the enemy of Great! So many times we settle for good jobs, good relationships, good apartments or houses, even good hobbies and vacations, when what we truly yearn for is greatness in all of these areas. We know that we’re settling, in a rut, maybe even stuck, but we have no idea how we got in the rut in the first place and we we don’t know where to start to get out of it.

I had a discussion with my husband the other day. We have both been married before, and we are determined to have a great relationship this time. Did you hear that? Not a good relationship but a GREAT ONE! How is that possible? We realize this simple truth: If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done! So we are communicating in ways we never have before, going places we’ve never gone and seeking a deeper level of emotional intimacy than we’ve never experienced.

I hope you will decide today that good is just not good enough! In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” Are you truly living that abundantly life? Jesus let’s us know in this scripture, I want my people to have not just a good life, but an abundant one - in other words a great one!

To have that abundant life we have to break old habits, and create new ones. We have to learn to draw healthy boundaries. We have deepen our spiritual life and manage our time more efficiently than we ever have before.

I’m invested in you having that abundant life! So, I couldn’t be more excited to offer Life Coaching at the the National School of Theology, NY!
